An acquaintance of mine is planning on contacting her doctor in the morning seeking the "morning-after pill." I am praying fervrently that God will touch her heart and her husband's heart as well with thetruth that if she has in fact conceived, this child is a gift of God and one that He will give her the grace to welcome. On the first day of this new year, we ask the intercession of Mary, the Mother of God, as today is her feast day under this title. Today is also the World Day of Prayer for Peace.

For a happy and prosperous 2005....

For peace in the world, in our nation, in our cities, in our families, and in our hearts...
