Continuing Prayers for Terri Schiavo

It's particularly important today to remember Ms. Schiavo, as her stay may be vacated. Let us pray that Judge Greer bow either to conscience (preferred) or to the enormous pressure brought to bear and thus do what is right.

Prayer Requests--Ash Wednesday

This, rather is the fasting that I wish:
releasing those bound unjustly,
untying the thongs of the yoke;
Setting free the oppressed,
breaking every yoke;
Sharing your bread with the hungry,
sheltering the oprressed and the homelsee;
Clothing the naked when you see them
and not turning your back on your own.

Then your light shall break forth like the dawn
and your wound shall quickly be healed;
Your vindication shall go before you,
and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer,
you shall cry for help, and he will say: Here I am!

May God grant us all a clean heart and may our prayers for peace and justice be heard throughout the whole world.

May what we begin in prayer be carried out this day and all days through the works of our hands.

Please pray for:

For all the needs of the community of St Blogs

For the needs of Franklin as he continues his journey

For all of those in need of employment, most particularly for Christine and Gordon

For all who are married or who are about to be married that their love and understanding of God and consequently of each other grow

For all who are struggling with health issues, either their own or those of loved ones, that the Lord be their help day and night

May God bless all of us on this Holy Day.
