A reader writes:
I would ask for your prayers for a couple of intentions. I am a pediatrician, the mother of a family whose children I take care of died yesterday after a short bout with stomach cancer. She was only 38 years old, and she leaves a husband and 3 young children (ages 10, 7, and 6 months...yes, she was diagnosed right after the birth of her baby). Also, one of my medical assistants, also 38 years old was diagnosed this past week with lung cancer. She has never smoked a day in her life, and we are all a bit baffled by it.
May God our Father granted eternal rest to your patient and grace, strength and healing to her family through our Lord Jesus. And may your medical assistant through the prayers and intercession of Sts. Peregrine and Luke, and the Blessed Virgin Mary, find complete healing from her cancer, through Christ our Lord! Amen!
