Prayers for the week of April 14-20

For the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, as he travels to America. May his trip be safe, and may American Catholics come to a deeper understanding of the faith, eschewing popular culture for a life firmly rooted in Christ and a relationship with God.

For dissenters of the Catholic faith. May they find it in their hearts to embrace Catholicism and the fullness of the Church’s teachings.

For atheists and those who despise Catholicism. May their hearts and minds be opened to the Truth of Christ and His Gospel.

For an increase in vocations. May the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the Saints in light call faithful, orthodox young men to answer the call to ordination.

For an increase in prayer. May we pray without ceasing as people of faith.

For the unborn. May all life be valued from conception to natural death.

For those victims of abortion. May they find comfort in the arms of our loving Mother, Mary.

For those who’ve had abortions or suffer from them. May they find healing and peace through the good work of pro-life groups and parishes.

For J., P., G. and all who seek gainful employment. May they find meaningful work and a just wage.

For those affected by harsh spring weather. May their communities grow together and move forward.

For personal intentions.

For all the intentions posted in the blogosphere.

We ask all these things in the name of Christ. Jesus, I trust in You!

A very lovely prayer. . . it prays for all of us, regardless of where are in life. . . .and I appreciate the intention you have at the end, for the blogosphere. . .A simple prayer, yet very much to the point. Thanks for posting. I need this prayer right about now.
